Dr. Michael James, DPM
Dr. James has enjoyed practicing in the Idaho Falls area for more than 30 years
He has Surgical privileges at both Eastern Idaho Regional Medical Center as well as Mountain View Hospitals.
He is the Medical director and CEO of Sunnyside Surgery Center in Idaho Falls.
Dr. James is a local Idaho boy, growing up on a family farm south of Idaho Falls.
He loves fishing, hunting, hiking and any outdoor activity that involves his wife, children and grandchildren.
He received his first 4 years of college in local schools in southeast Idaho, following which attended and completed medical school in Des Moines Iowa at the University of Osteopathic Medicine and Health Sciences: College of Podiatric Medicine and Surgery.
He completed his advanced surgical residency at the Doxey Hatch Medical Center/SLC VA-MC. Where he was involved with more than 1500 surgical cases.

Dr. James is board certified in foot surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. James is also certified by the American Board of Podiatric Medicine.
Dr. Bradley (Brady) James
Dr. James is a surgical podiatrist who joined Teton Foot & Ankle Center in 2023. Dr. James devotes his practice to helping anyone and everyone with any foot or ankle complications or pain. As someone who loves the outdoors and being active, he takes pride in keeping people moving.
Dr. James grew up in Idaho Falls where he was able to watch his father treat patients for many years. After graduating high school he served a two year mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Mesa Arizona. He then attended Brigham Young University Idaho where he obtained a bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology. Dr. James obtained his medical degree from Midwestern University School of Podiatric Medicine in Glendale, Arizona. His podiatric medicine and surgery residency training took place at Franciscan Alliance in Dyer, Indiana. His training emphasized on conservative care and surgical correction of forefoot and rearfoot deformities, complex lower extremity trauma, sports medicine of the foot and ankle, and diabetic limb salvage and wound care. Dr. James also received training in diabetic nerve complications and surgery from the Association of Extremity Nerve Surgeons.
Dr. James is board qualified in foot and reconstructive rearfoot/ankle surgery by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgery. Dr. James is also an associate of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons, Association of Extremity Nerve Surgeons, and is a Member of the American Podiatric Medical Association.
Above all, Dr. James is a devoted husband and father. He loves to spend as much time as possible with his wife and children. He also enjoys spending time outdoors mountain biking, hunting, fishing, skiing, snowmobiling, and almost any other outdoor activity.
