Shock Wave Therapy

Extracorporeal Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive treatment method that generates Shockwaves most commonly through soundwaves and pressure waves that can be applied to areas of pain and injury. The  goal of this treatment is to help tissues heal quicker and provide a more rapid pain relief to areas of injury or over stressed regions of the body.

Large numbers of professional sports teams are now utilizing this therapy on their players to get their injured team members back in the game quicker.

Extracorporeal shockwave therapy may be a viable option for patients who have not responded to more conservative treatments.

This treatment modality has been FDA approved to treat many pathologies of the body such as acute or chronic pain in bones, and soft tissues such as tendons, muscles, ligaments, and facia.

This treatment has been recognized and proven to

  • Accelerate Healing
  • Improve Blood Flow
  • Decrease Pain

  • Improve Range of Motion

The Physicians at The Teton Foot and Ankle Center have been trained in, and are now performing this advanced medical therapy on patients in their clinic.
